Thurston mahogany Life Pool-Billiard cupboard scoreboard c1902.  Wonderful example of a Billiard/life pool 'roller' cupboard/scoreboard in finest mahogany & satinwood by Thurston & Co., London - carved & raised pediment terminating in turned obelisk.  Top section comprises of billiard/life pool scoreboard with centre bevelled mirror, flanked by 6 x life pool slides concealed behind hinged marquetry panels of figured mahogany and inlaid satinwood banding.  Roller numbering on black ground with gold leaf lettering.  Brass pointers on brass slides.  Centre section with drop down marguetry panel opening to ball storage for 32 balls.  Lower base consists of lead lined wine storage drawer flanked by doors & drawers all in the finest mahogany with marquetry panels and satinwood banding.
