A beautifully constructed table by the Manchester maker of 'Orme & Sons' c1900 hand carved in solid English oak throughout. It is incredibly strong & stable by virtue of the frame design and the quality of the timber used in the manufacture. The current images show it prior to restoration so that the final colour of stain or polish can be varied. The original slate bed surface has been lost & so will require replacement.

This table been used in several period films such as the remake of  'The Hound of the Baskervilles'
