John Bennett (1005) mahogany fluted 'tulip' leg c1890

Ref - 1005

An excellent example of an antique Billiard-Snooker table by John Bennett c1890 in solid mahogany, standing on eight bulbous turned legs hand carved into what became the 'fluted' tulip style. This was a very popular style for billiard/snooker tables from Victorian times so that we have several examples from this and other makers, all of differing proportions. All tables from this period were made with fine quality timber so that the legs are always made from a single piece of well seasoned hardwood.

 Price guide £6,500
