DT008 7ft Riley antique billiard snooker-dining table c1920 mahogany Edwardian

Stock No.  DT008

A lovely example of this timeless & popular style of combined Billiard-Snooker/Dining table by EJ Riley of Accrington.  This table was originally manufactured c1920 out of the finest quality solid mahogany and we have carried out a total restoration, replacing the cushion rubber & then French polishing the entire table by hand.  It is now assembled in our works ready for inspection & delivery.

These tables are extremely collectible when complete as originally made, as prior to around the 1960's (before Pot Black & colour television & Steve Davis brought a new audience & interest to the game) many tables had been 'robbed' of their original solid timber dining leaves for them to be used in the making of other furniture. As a result there are numerous Riley tables in existence which have been fitted with replacement tops of inferior timber or veneered board, and this massively affects the overall value of the piece.  This table still has the original 5-piece dining surface in superb quality mahogany, which has remained as true & flat as when first manufactured 100 years ago.  All parts of the table are stamped with the original 'Riley of Accrington' makers number for authenticity.
