A fine example of a reproduction 'Victorian style' Snooker table made in solid mahogany by Karnehm & Hillman, table manufacturers who had a great reputation for producing excellent quality products which have proved both accurate & reliable for the long term. Because of their high quality they were selected to provide the tables for use during the World Championships around 1985-1990 and in our opinion were far superior in quality of materials & construction to any of those that have since followed. This particular example has always been in private ownership so that it is in lovely condition, requiring only minor cosmetic work to the polished surfaces to bring them back to pristine condition. Only the best quality of available mahogany was selected for the construction, meaning that such tables are as accurate & true today as when they were first produced. It has a 'threequarter size' playing area of 10ft x 5ft with external measurements of 10ft 6ins long x 5ft 6ins wide.
The heavy slate bed is of 40mm thickness in five sections, with the cushions being fully bolted into the slate edge as on the best full size tables, resulting in accurate & reliable rebound characteristics. The pocket openings are the same as on a full size table which makes them a little more generous for the home player, and we will brand new rubber to the cushions.
The table has yet to be been fitted with your choice of cloth, either in best quality West of England Olive green or from a wide range of other colours. Accessories also supplied within the price comprise new Aramith Snooker balls (full size 52mm), triangle, 4 x cues of assorted lengths, cross & bridge rests, long cue & rest, mahogany wall scoreboard, wall cue rack, brush, dustcover, chalk & rule book. We can supply American style numbered pool balls as an upgrade if required.
Tables such as this if made new today to the same specification & quality would be around £8,000 so here is an opportunity to acquire something of real quality and to last a lifetime, at a bargain price.
